Tucked inside a Bukit Batok HDB, Kaoyen is a home-based matcha café run by a couple and their resident cats. What started quietly in the West has grown into one of Singapore's most talked-about home café finds and one visit tells you exactly why.
Every drink is handcrafted with intention from the smooth, comforting Kaoyen Matcha Latte to the bold and floral Neko Blossom Matcha Latte. No barista counter, no café playlist, no Instagram backdrop — just a warm HDB door, a genuine welcome and really good matcha.
Open daily till 11.59pm because good matcha should never have a curfew.

Butter has good taste and this drink proves it. Layers of vibrant strawberry jam at the base, smooth matcha in the middle and a cloud of strawberry cold foam on top — sweet, earthy and refreshing all at once.
Kaya's Salted Maple Hug
Sweet meets salty in the most comforting way. A warm, fluffy maple cloud sits over smooth, earthy matcha, sweet, salty and impossibly cosy all at once.
Lazy Loaf Matcha
Warm, toasty notes of banana pudding meet the smooth, earthy depth of matcha in this comforting sip. Layers of creamy banana custard at the base, velvety matcha in the middle and a whisper of toasted finish on top. Cozy, nutty and subtly sweet all at once.
